Cant find windows live messenger icon

I went through the windows live site, found the 'get latest version of live messenger' and ran that program. I didn't bother to uninstall messenger, rather let this program 'update' the version I had, even though it was the latest version already.

This, once complete, automatically began the messenger program for me, with the icon appearing in the bottom right to show that it was running. Hope this helps anyone else who has been having the problem!
